2022 Events

From Yom HaZikaron to Yom Ha’atzmaut
Wednesday, May 4, 2022
Tekes Ma’avar (Ceremony): 6:45 p.m.
Tefillah Chagigat (Celebratory Tefillah): 7:30 p.m.
Location: Kohelet Yeshiva, Merion Station, PA

Mark the transition from the solemn nature of Israel’s Memorial Day to the joyous character of Israel’s Independence Day. The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is delighted to partner with Kohelet Yeshiva for this evening that will begin with a tribute to the fallen soldiers and those who currently serve, including the school’s alumni, in the IDF and National Service. The program will be followed by live music, featuring BaRock Orchestra, dancing and delicious Israeli food. This commemoration and celebration will include the unveiling of a unique and extraordinary piece of artwork, commissioned by Stacey and Amir Goldman. To learn more, click here.

Honoring Local Jewish Heroes

Israel’s Independence Day Celebration

Looking for a way to go all out for Israel’s big 7-4? Celebrate Israel’s Independence Day with the Israeli American Council, also known as IAC! Supported by the Jewish Federation through an Israel Engagement Grant, get excited for this evening of Israeli dancing, music, and activities for the whole family. Bucks County Jewish Festival 2022

Location: Bucks County Community College, Newtown, PA

You can still show your love for Israel, even after Yom Ha’atzmaut! Bring the whole family to appreciate Israeli culture while enjoying a jam-packed Jewish community festival. Mesiba: Israel Independence & Lag B’Omer Fest

Why celebrate one Jewish holiday, when you can celebrate two?! The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is partnering with The Chevra and 15 other organizations for a single night of 3 epic-themed parties in honor of Yom Ha’atzmaut and Lag B’omer.
