The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and St. Joseph’s University’s Institute for Jewish-Catholic Relations are co-sponsoring a series of programs about “The Intersection of ‘Race’ and ‘Religion’ in the USA: African Americans, Jewish Americans, and Trauma.” On Wednesday, November 13, a session titled “Did the Bible Sanction Slavery? How the Churches Used the Bible to Justify Slaveholding” will take place at 7:00 p.m.
