A free seminar for military women entitled “Women Veterans Are Not Invisible” is set for Sunday, Oct. 27, from 1-5 p.m. at the Katz Jewish Community Center (JCC), Cherry Hill, NJ.
This seminar, open only to women veterans and current military members, is being sponsored by the Jewish Community Foundation and hosted by Jewish War Veterans (JWV) Furer-Barag-Wolf Post 126, Cherry Hill.
Panel discussion speakers will include Selina Kanowitz, master sergeant, U.S. Air Force, retired; May Brill, U.S. Navy World War II veteran; and Constance Cotton, U.S. Army, retired. Other events will include a special tribute to fallen Camden County women veterans; a health screening by Dr. Scott Yorker of the JCC’s Chiropractic Center; a video produced by JWV Post 126 entitled “Women in the Military Life”; and three vendors: Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice of South Jersey, USO of Philadelphia, and the Camden County Office of Veterans Affairs.

The event is free of charge to attendees. Donations are welcome and are tax-deductible. The JWV is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization.
