Jedidiah Siev, PhD, Beyond the Clutter: Understanding Hoarding Disorder and Treatment Options
Jedidiah Siev, PhD, is Assistant Professor at Swarthmore College. Previously, he directed the Anxiety Treatment Center and founded the OCD and Related Disorders Program at Nova Southeastern University. His research focuses on information processing, judgment and decision making, and meta-cognitive processes involved in the maintenance and reduction of OCD, hoarding, and anxiety.
David Wengert, MSW, Hoarder’s Rights: The Intersection of Mental Health and the Justice System
David Wengert, MSW, is a social worker in the Housing Unit at Community Legal Services in Philadelphia, where he advocates for tenant rights and fights homelessness by preventing eviction.

The Fran and Elliot Kane Memorial Lecture, lovingly and generously funded by Natalie Packel Markowitz, is established in memory of Fran Kane z”l, a longtime employee of JFCS and one of the founding Care Managers for Senior Horizons and Dr. Elliot Kane z”l, a longtime, dedicated volunteer to JFCS’ Hospice Program.
