Renowned activist and former candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize, Amal Elsana Alh’jooj co-founded AJEEC-NISPED, a non-profit organization dedicated to social change and Arab-Jewish partnership. Amal began her career as a community organizer at age 14 in a Bedouin village in the Negev and is now Executive Director of International Community Action Network at McGill University. Today, Amal is one of the key shapers of public opinion regarding the status of the Arab minority and the status of women in Israel.
