Details

Please consider joining us as we take a close look at hunger in our sister region and the organizations with whom we partner to fight food insecurity. It is a chance to see the real-world outcomes of our efforts through the Jewish Federation, juxtaposed against a carefully-crafted itinerary featuring the best of the Israeli culinary scene.

This adventure will include classes with renowned Israeli chef Erez Komarovskycheesewhiskeychocolate, hummus, and tahina tastings at local boutique cafes; and tours of unique gourmet markets. We will volunteer at Leket Israel, the largest food bank in Israel and the Jewish Federation’s partner in the battle against hunger; visit the Peres Center for Peace & Innovation for a workshop on food and peacebuilding in Israel; and meet with members of ATIDIM, to discuss inclusivity and equal opportunities for at-risk youth. There will also be a variety of options for a meaningful Shabbat experience.
