The Bernard and Etta Weinberg Fund, a restricted fund of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, awards grants to projects in the Greater Philadelphia area, including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, in three areas: providing geriatric counseling and care management, services for older adults ages 60+, and Jewish education. This fund will provide seed funding to incubate new, innovative programs that will stimulate other future funding sources. Programs that feature collaboration with other agencies, service providers, and funders are strongly encouraged. Multi-year funding requests (of up to three years) will be considered for organizations serving clients in the Greater Philadelphia area.

Projects must focus on one of the following target areas: services for older adults ages 60+, including geriatric counseling and care management, or Jewish education.

Organizations considered must serve a significant number of Jewish individuals, but do not necessarily have to be “Jewish” organizations.

New, pilot, or expansion of existing projects will be considered.

Projects that have received funding for three years in a row are not eligible to receive grants until the next funding cycle.
