Join us down the shore for an insightful discussion with Jewish advocate Tessa Veksler in conversation with Jewish Community Relations Council Chief Jason Holtzman, who leads the Center to Combat Antisemitism of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. They will explore how online platforms can both spread hate and serve as tools for advocacy, connection and change.

During this event, you will discover how the Jewish Federation is creating a real, lasting impact — and how you can be part of the solution. Let’s stand together in strength and solidarity — because a united community is the most powerful force against hate.

About Our Guest Speakers:

Tessa Veksler

Tessa Veksler is a public speaker, content creator and Jewish advocate. Originally from California, she spent a gap year in Israel studying at Bar-Ilan University while remotely completing her first year at University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Veksler lived through Operation Guardian of the Walls and brought her dedication to Israel advocacy and fighting antisemitism to campus through various leadership roles. She completed her term as student body president of UCSB in May 2024. She made history as the first Shabbat-observant student body president at the university, representing more than 24,000 students.

After facing targeted harassment and antisemitism in the wake of Oct. 7, Veksler has chosen to speak bravely about her experiences while encouraging Jewish people nationwide to fight against hate. With more than 40,000 Instagram followers and over 7.5 million video views, she has become a prominent Jewish and Zionist voice on social media. She has received numerous recognitions, including invitations to the White House and UCSB’s University Service Award. In addition to her recent feature in the documentary “October 8,” she now travels nationwide to share her message of strength, resilience and continued activism, while working in public relations for Hiltzik Strategies in New York City.
