Do a mitzvah! Please bring coats or winter clothing for JFCS’ Our Closet in Your Neighborhood. Supported by the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, this mobile program provides over 1,000 free coats each year to those in need.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: Dasi Fruchter

Rabbanit Dasi Fruchter is the founder and spiritual leader of the South Philadelphia Shtiebel, a modern Orthodox community she has nurtured since its founding in 2019 into a vibrant home for prayer, learning and community care.
A national teacher and speaker, Rabbanit Fruchter is especially known for her work at the intersection of women’s health and Jewish law, and in the realm of creative community-building and spiritual entrepreneurship. She is an experienced educator on topics including mikvah, fertility and ritual life. She is the creator and voice behind a Daf Yomi podcast, where she brings the Talmud to life with clarity, insight and deep relevance for today’s learners.
Ordained by Yeshivat Maharat in 2016, Rabbanit Fruchter also holds an Master of Public Administration degree in nonprofit administration and an Master of Arts degree in Jewish studies from NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service. She is a fellow in the Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Kollel for Psak and serves on the mayor’s interfaith roundtable and the Religious Leaders Council of Philadelphia.
