Hear from Aging Life Care professional Beverly Bernstein Joie, author of “Solo Wise,” as she provides a wealth of resources and a successful roadmap to aging with grace and supporting those you love in this stage of life. Explore how we, as Jewish mothers, daughters, sisters and caregivers, can walk this journey with compassion. Each participant will receive a signed copy of Bernstein Joie’s book.
Hearts of Gratitude: Raising Philanthropic Children
Tuesday, Aug. 5 | 10 – 11:30 a.m.

What does it mean to lead with generosity and how do we inspire our children to embrace this value? A rich dialogue around tzedakah, which means “charity” or “justice,” is present in the Torah and throughout Jewish communal life. In this session, discover tools to nurture a spirit of philanthropy in the next generation through insights and guidance from speaker Caroline Kamesar, executive director of the Lasko Family Foundation and rebbetzin at Society Hill Synagogue. This opportunity is perfect for moms, grandmothers, and role models.
Preparing the Heart: A Guide to Cheshbon HaNefesh (A Spiritual Accounting of the Soul)
