About Our Speaker

Lori Shapiro serves as Pennsylvania’s first lady. A native Pennsylvanian from Bucks County, she has dedicated her life to family and service. Previously, she worked at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy during the Clinton Administration. Shapiro also worked with the President’s Information Technology Advisory Committee (PITAC) and served as the liaison between PITAC and the White House. Throughout her career and public life, Shapiro has demonstrated a commitment to tikkun olam, “repairing the world,” and regularly volunteers in the community for organizations that work to address hunger and poverty. She currently serves as honorary chair of the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition and sits on the board of the Philadelphia Art Museum.
