Members of the Jewish and other faith communities gathered on the second night of Hanukkah on December 19 to light a candle and Shine A Light on antisemitism.
Shine A Light on Antisemitism is a national campaign that inspires organizations, companies, institutions, and individuals to unite in shining a light on antisemitism in all of its modern forms. The Philadelphia program was open to Christian clergy and others, interested in learning how the Jewish community feels as antisemitism continues to appear in mainstream discourse and what Christian clergy can do to be better allies to the Jewish community.
The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Jewish Community Relations Council sponsored the event in partnership with Pathways, Gladwyne Presbyterian Church, ADL, and AJC at St. Joseph’s University.
