NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP — Volunteers will man the phones during the “Super Sunday” fundraiser at Shir Ami to raise money for the Jewish Federation of Philadelphia and the organizations it supports.
Sunday’s event will be part of the federation’s biggest annual community fundraising event.
Shir Ami is one of several Philadelphia area locations that will host “Super Sunday” fundraisers during the Philadelphia Jewish community’s annual day of tzedakah, or charitable giving. The volunteers will work from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. calling Jewish Federation supporters to ask them to renew their financial commitment to public service efforts in the community. More than 600 volunteers are expected to participate throughout the region.
