After a successful basketball career in the US, Brody decided to make Aliyah, making him one of the most honored new immigrants in Israel’s history. Among his many accomplishments, Brody captained Israel’s first European Basketball Championship to victory, was chosen as one of the top ten immigrants that influenced Israel by the New York Times, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Knesset, and served in the US Army and Israeli Army. Since 2010, Brody has served as Israel’s Ambassador of Goodwill.
