The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia condemns today’s unjust verdict against Evan Gershkovich following a secret trial held behind closed doors in Russia. The Wall Street Journal reporter from New Jersey has been wrongfully detained for over a year, and we are outraged by Russia continuing his imprisonment under false espionage pretenses. We call on the U.S. government to continue doing everything in their power to bring Evan home.
