Join us for a lecture by and discussion with the Honorable Daniel Shapiro, former United States Ambassador to Israel during the Obama administration, as he gives insight into the recent political relationship between the two countries under Presidents Obama and Trump.

Following 20+ years in senior foreign policy and national security positions, Daniel Shapiro served as U.S. Ambassador to Israel from 2011-2017. Winning praise from both countries for his management of the U.S.-Israel relationship during Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations and the Iran nuclear agreement, his major contributions included negotiating the $38 billion Memorandum of Understanding and a 40% growth in U.S.-Israel trade. He currently serves as Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Tel Aviv University’s Institute of National Security Studies.
