Leadership opportunities

As we move forward, we invite you to continue your engagement with the Jewish Federation by joining one or more of the following cohorts.

All leadership roles require a current gift commitment for FY24 and FY25. In future years, a person must have made a commitment to the current Jewish Federation campaign and will be asked to make a commitment to the upcoming year’s campaign.

This community of leaders will be invited to three annual high level briefings.  They will hear from speakers and educators on significant issues impacting the Greater Philadelphia Jewish community and will be provided with the opportunity to learn together, and remain connected to the work of the Jewish Federation.

Minimum gift required: $5,000 or Legacy Society commitment.

This group of leaders will share on behalf of the Jewish Federation out in the community where they are already participating. Board ambassadors may select from four leadership options, where they will be trained and empowered to share their passion for the work of the Jewish Federation.

Minimum gift required: $1,800 or Legacy Society Commitment. 

Each of these options requires the commitment to participate in one orientation session and one reflection session each year. 

  • Congregational Ambassador
    Facilitate at least three congregational presentations/year 
  • Community Ambassador
    Serve as an ambassador at least three community events/year 
  • Federation Mentor
    Serve as a mentor for up and coming lay leaders for for a minimum of 6 sessions per year 
  • Federation Amplifier
    Repost Jewish Federation online social media messages at least once/week 

The Jewish Federation will connect with representatives from agencies that the organization funds and/or works with – namely the organization’s namely the organization’s CEO or Executive Director and the president or a representative elected by the president. The group will convene to receive high level briefings from the Jewish Federation, share successes, and learn from and with each other. The Forum may create affinity groups to increase awareness and understanding of roles within the community.
