Jewish teens are growing up in an increasingly complex world.

Academic pressure, social media and rising conflict and antisemitism shape their daily experiences and affect their sense of safety, identity and well-being.

MEETING THIS MOMENT

The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is partnering with the Center for Parent and Teen Communication at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia on an initiative focused on building resilience in Jewish teens and strengthening the families who support them. Led by Dr. Ken Ginsburg, an internationally recognized expert in adolescent development, the project provides research-informed, values-based tools to help families foster connection, build confidence and prepare their children to thrive.

These tools are reinforced through written content and brief videos from religious and communal leaders across the spectrum of Jewish thought and wisdom. This initiative is grounded within Jewish values, like Shmirat Hanefesh (physical and mental well-being) and Kol Yisrael Arevim Zeh Bazeh (our responsibility as a Jewish people to take care of one another).

OUR RESOURCES

Grounded in Jewish values and backed by trusted research, you will find resources that will offer practical guidance to help families communicate openly, navigate challenges and support healthy adolescent development. You will find a video series and other resources from a variety of Jewish religious and communal experts from across the thought spectrum.

New resources will be added regularly.
