The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is pleased that our government is reopen after 43 days of shutdown and that SNAP benefits are set to resume. However, we also recognize that the impact of the shutdown and suspended benefits will continue to affect our community for months to come.
At this time of rising need, we are filled with gratitude to see how our community has responded to the call through food donations, volunteering, and financial gifts. After meeting our initial $50,000 match to support the Jewish Federation’s Mitzvah Food Program’s essential work, another generous donor has stepped up with an additional $50,000 match.
Now through Giving Tuesday every gift to the Mitzvah Food Program will be matched dollar for dollar up to this new $50,000 goal. Together, we can ensure more families in our community have the food and support they need as we enter the holiday season.
Make your gift and help us meet our goal at jewishphilly.org/givingtuesday.
