CTA’s Early Childhood Program is a unique, innovative and creative program. The seeds of curiosity are planted and nurtured by our highly qualified, loving, dedicated and experienced staff. Through our teachers’ unique teaching styles, the children are provided with a child-centered, hands-on learning program that focuses on building each child in a stimulating, warm Jewish environment. This environment exposes our youngest learners to a variety of experiences that cultivate spiritual, emotional, social and academic growth. Our program encourages independence, cooperation, positive self-esteem, and Middot Tovot (good character). We also help foster curiosity for the world around them, a sense of belonging to the community and a sense of caring for our friends and neighbors.
Literacy is the centerpiece of our learning. We expose children to early literacy concepts, phonetic awareness, letter knowledge and high-frequency words. Mathematics is a hands-on experience and includes numbers, counting, identifying shapes and sorting. Our innovative Chalav U’Dvash program is a cutting edge language experience that encourages children to use Ivrit to express thoughts and identify objects in the world around them. Our ECP programs aim to instill a love of Torah and the seeds that will blossom into our Jewish values. We emphasize Shabbat, Chagim, Parshat HaShavua, T’filah and Ivrit, alongside Middot Tovot, Chessed and Ahavat Yisrael.

Basic precepts such as respect for others, kindness, being a constructive member of a community, tzedakah and practicing mitzvot are integrated into daily routines and interactive play. By doing so, we seek to create a stimulating and enriching educational environment that will ignite a spark in each child to lay claim to his or her Jewish heritage and commit him or her to a lifetime passion for learning. Center City Jewish Preschool is dedicated to educating children from a broad range of Jewish backgrounds and observances. Our educational approach is guided by our recognition and respect for the unique qualities of each child. Each child who enters the school becomes a treasured member of our preschool family.

Activities are carefully balanced throughout the day to provide opportunities for quiet learning as well as expressions of physical energy and creativity. Hands on learning experiences are utilized. Social skills are emphasized, and children learn to become part of a community that is their class, to respect each other’s feelings, to take turns and to share. Judaic content is a thread that runs through our curriculum, through which the children gain a sense of being part of a larger community of Judaism. Our clergy is actively involved in our program, leading us for our Friday afternoon Shabbat programs, sharing the songs and traditions of Shabbat, as well as during holiday celebrations. Parents and teachers work cooperatively to ensure that each child enjoys a successful experience in our school. We are a strong community committed to the well-being of children and families.

Torah Academy of Bucks County is an orthodox preschool providing a good Jewish education for children in our community and the surrounding area. We have small classes with warm and caring Morahs (teachers). We teach children from ages 3 to 5 years using art, music and songs, stories and love. Our Jewish curriculum includes recognizing the aleph bais and their sounds, the weekly parasha story, Brochos and Jewish holidays. Our secular curriculum includes the alphabet, colors and shapes, numbers and relevant science and social studies. Teaching social and emotional skills is emphasized.
