Women of Vision, Philadelphia’s Jewish Women’s Foundation, impacts the lives of self-identifying Jewish women and girls across generations and geographic boundaries through strategic grantmaking, advocacy and educational programs leading to social change and social justice.
WHAT WE DO
Through our advocacy efforts, we educate over 500 members and the general public about issues like equal pay for equal work and sex trafficking. At our events, we grapple with challenges faced by girls and women, such as gun violence and college campus issues. We not only raise awareness, we find hands-on opportunities to take action.

Advocate
Throughout the year Women of Vision provides members with educational programs and materials about pressing issues facing Jewish women and girls, as well as opportunities to advocate on their behalf, such as meetings with elected officials in Washington, D.C., and Harrisburg.

Greater Philadelphia & Israel Grants 2023-2025
Granted $30,000/year over two years to the Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel (ARCCI) for their “Improving Law Enforcement Systems for Victims” program. Giving a voice to over 50,000 victims each year, the Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel advocates for women of all ages who are victims of sexual violence across Israel. This grant will be used to improve the services provided to victims through proper training of the courts, prosecutors and police as a way to achieve more equitable outcomes.
Granted $30,000/year over two years to Yozmot Atid for their “Micro-Business Entrepreneurship Program” program. This grant will be used to bring Arab and Jewish women entrepreneurs together through business training courses, workshops and mentorship programs to assist in the promotion and expansion of small businesses. Looking to establish a shared network of women-owned businesses nation-wide, the program is being launched in Nazareth and the surrounding communities.
Granted $17,328 in FY 24 for their “Protecting Haredi Young Women and Girls” program. This grant will be used to develop and enhance a multiple-pronged approach to help protect ultra-Orthodox women from abuse. The organization aims to reduce abuse through partnering with influential rabbis and mikveh attendants, providing training for bridal teachers, creating abuse awareness and prevention programs in schools, and supporting at-risk mothers and women identified as being abused.
Philadelphia Grants 2022-2024
Granted $36,000/year over two years to Einstein Healthcare Network for their “Empowering Orthodox Women Through Sexual Health Education” program. This grant will be used to empower Orthodox women to take charge of their health and well-being with informed, culturally sensitive education. Einstein seeks to develop and implement a three-pronged program which will provide tailored women’s health curriculum in Jewish day schools through workshops for both elementary and high school aged students and their parents.
Granted $20,000 for FY 23 and $25,000 for FY 24 to Jewish Women International for their “Financial Fitness for Young Women” program. This grant will be used to gather women in their 20s and 30s for 4-5 workshops, designed to unpack emotional barriers that often make women hesitant to address money issues and consider financial fitness as a component of physical and emotional well-being. This helps prepare women to prioritize their goals, organize finances, create a realistic budget, learn how to negotiate and invest strategically.
Granted $34,000/year for two years to jGirls+ Magazine for their “Feminist Teen Leadership Training Program.” Each year, jGirls+ Magazine invites teens entering 10th, 11th, and 12th grades throughout North America to join their staff as editors and photographers and to participate in their robust feminist leadership development program. This grant will be used to train the teen staff members in an experiential educational curriculum within a Jewish context and learn how to set the editorial agenda for publication content.
