The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia celebrates and recognizes the contributions of five remarkable women for their generosity, leadership and legacy during the annual Lion of Judah event at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue.

The evening highlights the work of five former Chairs of the Board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, including Ande Adelman, Susanna Lachs Adler, Gail Norry, Sherrie Savett and Miriam (Mimi) Schneirov. Rabbi Shira Stutman will serve as Master of Ceremonies.

The Lions of Judah are philanthropic women of all ages who put Jewish values into action by lighting up the Greater Philadelphia Jewish region and beyond with tzedakah (charity) and a commitment to repairing the world. Lions of Judah are passionate about the future of the Jewish community, and increase its impact by investing time and financial resources.

Since 1901, the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia has served as the hub of the region’s Jewish communities, providing an infrastructure of support for Jewish people and organizations in need. Through the various grants, emergency funding, restricted gifts, endowments and our partnership with the Foundation for Jewish Day Schools, we invest more than $61 million each fiscal year to care for and protect those in need, and support a thriving and vibrant Jewish community locally, in Israel and around the world.
