Commitment and Logistics

The fellowship requires a high level of engagement. Please check the box next to each statement to indicate your understanding and commitment:*

Monthly Sessions: I commit to attending monthly, two-hour evening learning sessions in the Greater Philadelphia area for the duration of the two-year program. Monthly sessions will occur on a weekday evening from January through December with a two month break during the summer. Attendance at a minimum of 8 out of 10 sessions per year is required. Hybrid options will be available for some sessions and the location of each session will vary throughout the five county Greater Philadelphia Area.

Independent Learning: I understand there will be assigned readings and materials to review between sessions. I commit to fully engaging with the asynchronous material.

Travel: I am able and willing to participate in a transformative educational trip to Israel (dates to be finalized; expected trip length: 7–10 days).

Capstone: I commit to developing and implementing a Capstone Project in my classroom/school.

Institutional Support

Fellows must have the backing of their administration or school board to ensure the implementation of their Capstone Projects. Once the application has been reviewed, the approving party will receive a DocuSign in their email affirming the following statement. Applications will not be considered completed until the DocuSign has been filled out and returned by the approving party. The DocuSign will require the approving party to affirm the following: Statement of Support: “I am aware of [Applicant Name]’s application to the Educators’ Engagement Fellowship. I support their participation in this two-year professional development opportunity and look forward to the positive impact their learning will have on our school community. I support their implementation of a JCRC-reviewed Capstone project in our school.”
