The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia strongly condemns hate speech in our community and throughout the world. When anti-Semitic hate speech was expressed by Temple University Professor Marc Lamont Hill, we immediately took action with national and local partners. We have and will continue to condemn comments that reject the state of Israel and the Jewish connection to our homeland.

You don’t have to board a plane to get to know Israel—the Jewish Federation brings the Israel experience to you right here in Philadelphia.

Thank you for celebrating Israel’s 70th birthday with us!

Israel Engagement Grants

Have a great idea for a project to help our Greater Philadelphia Jewish community connect to Israel, in all its beauty and complexity? The Jewish Federation awards grants to local Jewish organizations that promote Israeli culture, are creative and engaging, and bring artistic, educational or cultural value to our community. Applications are due by July 31, 2018 for the 2018-2019 fiscal year.

Israel Programs and Workshops

Our shlicha (emissary) from Israel serves as a resource to individuals and organizations, offering programs, workshops and talks upon request to increase Israel and community engagement.

Our Partnership with Netivot & Sdot Negev

We’re bringing new energy and a new focus to our twenty-plus-year relationship with the people of Netivot and the surrounding area known as Sdot Negev. Planning a trip to Israel? Include a day in our Partnership Region, and Jewish Federation will help make the plans and subsidize the experience.
